11 Go (A)up to Gilead and obtain balm,
(B)O virgin daughter of Egypt!
In vain have you multiplied [a]remedies;
There is (C)no healing for you.
12 The nations have heard of your (D)shame,
And the earth is full of your (E)cry of distress;
For one (F)warrior has stumbled over [b]another,
And both of them have fallen down together.

13 This is the [c]message which the Lord spoke to Jeremiah the prophet about the (G)coming of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to (H)smite the land of Egypt:
